The Leander bed is beautiful, simple and functional. It follows the progression from baby-to-toddler-to-child by extending from a cot (70 x 120cm) in stages to a junior bed (70 x150cm) as your child grows.

The bed is five pieces of furniture in one design. It is built in parts that are assembled so the bed always suits the child's age and needs.  You get all parts including mattress parts when you purchase the bed.

Initially, the cot base can be raised to protect the parent's back.  It is then dropped down to the base level to ensure that the mobile baby is safe.  As baby turns into a toddler with greater freedom to move, the first Leander bed adaptation takes place: one of the cot sides comes off.  The child still has the familiar feeling of security of the high sides, it has known since birth but can now climb in and out by itself.  As the child's development progresses, the other three sides come off (all together) and the cot is now a small bed.  The child's growth in height will tell you when to extend the Leander bed into the junior bed (150cm long).  The extension pieces required are part of your initial purchase, so there is no more to buy.

The round soft forms make the Leander bed a wonderful piece of furniture to use.  The spring mattress contributes not only to a comfortable night's sleep but also ensures good ventilation.  The bed is manufactured in moulded Scandinavian beech and the surface treated with water-based lacquer and is available in 3 colour choices - whitewash, white and walnut.
